Project
Moving Brands' 15th birthday became a dual-city celebration across London and San Francisco, bringing together more than 500 staff, clients and collaborators. The brief was to create an experience that reflected the studio's creative culture while making the relationships within its network visible and playful.
Role
As Creative Technologist, I worked with visual and motion designers to create an interactive backdrop for the event. Each guest was represented by a unique 3D form called a Mino, generated from their data profile in WebGL. At the event, Leap Motion let guests interact with one another's Minos across large projected communal scenes.
Technology
Guests received neon GIF email invites with unique URLs that let them customise their 3D Mino before the event. The same system carried through to the live installation, creating a continuous experience from inbox to venue. Tools included WebGL, Three.js, PHP, MySQL, HTML email and Leap Motion.
